First Lady Yolanda Lewis-Kelly was born in New York, NY where she graduated from Hunter College with a Bachelor Degree in Sociology. After graduating from Hunter, Lady Kelly worked as a case manager for the Administration of Children's Services. Later, she served as the Social Services Coordinator for Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan. In 1998, she was selected to serve as Lead Coordinator for the new HIV/AIDs Awareness Program at Metropolitan Hospital. She also served as Project Coordinator for the Witness Project of Harlem, a faith-based breast and cervical cancer educational program. Currently, she serves as key advisor to the program.
The Spiritual Transformation
In 1999, Lady Kelly's life changed forever when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She endured six months of difficult chemotherapy treatment. In 2000, she was declared cancer-free. However, in 2007, she learned that her breast cancer had returned. This time it was stage IV - metastatic, which means it had spread to both sides of her lungs and lymph nodes. At the time, Lady Kelly was only given six months to live. Yet, her faith was not deterred. Today, she is still fighting cancer and yet praising God for His goodness. In fact, Lady Kelly is known as a constant praiser, worshiper and prayer warrior. Now, she remains more committed than ever in doing God's will and using her life to bring awareness to the world in the importance of cancer screenings and hope to cancer survivors. She is also President and CEO of her own company,Celebration of Life Cancer Awareness Organization.

Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ
As a former member of the historic Kelly Temple, COGIC, First Lady Kelly served as a member of the Meeter's and Greeter's Ministry for over eight years. In 2007, she was appointed president of Kelly Temple's Health Ministry. Her awards are varied and impressive, including, Kelly Temple's Outstanding Leadership Award, the Witness Project's Outstanding Service Award, the Hunter's Humanitarian Award, and the Kelly Temple's Profile in Courage Award among several others.
